We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the organization while ensuring operational excellence and compliance. This role requires a forward-thinking leader with expertise in financial strategy, corporate governance, and organizational growth.
Job Responsibility
Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the organization's long-term goals and expansion plans
Lead efforts to identify market opportunities, enhance operational efficiency, and mitigate financial risks
Serve as the primary liaison with external financial partners, including banks, lenders, and investors, to secure funding and structure capital
Oversee all accounting and finance functions, including financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial reporting, treasury management, payroll, and tax strategy
Provide guidance to individual school leaders on optimizing budgets, understanding financial metrics, and maintaining fiscal health
Take ownership of the annual audit process, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely submission
Implement and maintain operational best practices across all departments to drive efficiency and adherence to financial standards
Ensure compliance with regulatory and state reporting requirements, maintaining flawless adherence to legal standards
Manage legal affairs, vendor relationships, and corporate governance to mitigate risks and support organizational goals
Oversee IT strategy and infrastructure, ensuring security, scalability, and alignment with operational and academic needs
Requirements
Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in a multi-unit or educational organization
Strong expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting
Demonstrated ability to secure and manage capital funding and maintain relationships with external financial partners
Proficient in overseeing audits, compliance processes, and corporate governance
Experience with process improvement initiatives, including the integration of automation and AI technologies
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and state reporting processes
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coach and guide team members
Strategic mindset with a focus on organizational growth and operational excellence
