Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee financial operations for a variety of entities, including turf, sod, trucking, cattle, and metals businesses. This long-term contract position requires an individual who can establish and manage a holding company structure, ensuring smooth financial integration and compliance across all entities. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial management, process documentation, and intercompany accounting.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and implement a holding company structure to consolidate multiple business entities
Oversee month-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting
Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions effectively
Utilize QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records and streamline accounting operations
Create and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for financial processes
Monitor and manage intercompany transactions and accounts to ensure accuracy
Conduct cash flow analysis and capital management to optimize financial performance
Establish and enforce access policies for financial systems and data
Support budgeting and auditing processes to ensure compliance with financial standards
Collaborate with leadership to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in financial management or a related role
Proficiency with QuickBooks and other accounting software systems
Strong understanding of intercompany accounting and transaction management
Proven ability to manage month-end close processes and financial reconciliations
Experience creating and documenting financial processes and SOPs
Knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) operations
Familiarity with cash flow analysis, budgeting, and capital management
Excellent organizational and communication skills to work across multiple entities
