Our client is a growing, private equity–backed manufacturing organization with multiple operating sites across the US. They are a market leader in their sector, serving diverse industrial customers with high-quality, engineered products. As they continue to scale organically and through acquisition, they are seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer to help drive operational excellence, financial performance, and enterprise value creation. The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for all financial strategy, planning, reporting, and risk management activities across a multi-site manufacturing platform. This leader will partner closely with the CEO, private equity sponsors, and the Board of Directors to drive profitability, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation.
Job Responsibility:
Lead enterprise-wide financial strategy aligned with growth and value creation objectives
Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board, providing actionable financial insights
Support M& A strategy, including financial diligence, integration, and synergy tracking
Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, FP& A, treasury, tax, and compliance functions
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple sites
Manage multi-entity consolidations and ensure timely, accurate reporting
Develop KPI dashboards and operational metrics aligned with manufacturing performance drivers
Maintain strong internal controls and governance
Prepare and deliver board-ready financial presentations
Lead lender and investor communications, including covenant reporting
Drive EBITDA growth initiatives and working capital optimization
Support capital structure strategy and liquidity management
Partner with operations leadership to improve margins, cost controls, and throughput
Oversee standard costing, inventory management, and cost accounting processes
Drive data-driven decision-making across production, supply chain, and procurement
Lead ERP implementation, optimization, or system upgrades across multiple sites
Ensure integration of financial and operational data systems
Improve reporting automation and business intelligence capabilities
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred)
Proven experience as a CFO (or equivalent senior finance executive) in a multi-site manufacturing or similar operationally complex environment
Prior experience working in a private equity–backed company
Demonstrated expertise in multi-entity consolidations
Strong experience presenting to Boards of Directors and private equity sponsors
Hands-on experience leading ERP implementation or major ERP transformation
Deep understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and operational KPIs
Experience managing banking relationships, debt structures, and financial covenants
Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
