Job Description:

Manages all engineering/maintenance operations, including maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection. Accountable for managing the budget, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance and energy conservation. Responsible for maintaining regulatory requirements. Leads the emergency response team for all facility issues.

Job Responsibility:

Manage all engineering/maintenance operations
Maintain building, grounds and physical plant with attention to safety and security
Manage budget and capital expenditure projects
Oversee preventative maintenance and energy conservation
Maintain regulatory requirements
Lead emergency response team for facility issues
Supervise Engineering in absence of Director of Engineering
Manage physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems
Establish and manage effective rooms maintenance program
Ensure compliance with Engineering departmental policies
Manage department's controllable expenses
Select and order new equipment, supplies, and furnishings
Inspect and evaluate physical condition of facilities
Supervise day to day operations of Engineering
Maintain accurate logs and records
Plan, schedule and evaluate preventative maintenance programs
Handle guest problems and complaints
Empower employees to provide excellent customer service
Display leadership in guest hospitality
Establish priorities for total property maintenance needs
Ensure on-going communication
Manage human resources activities
Maintain open, collaborative relationships with employees
Ensure employees are treated fairly
Improve service performance
Provide feedback to employees
Supervise execution of emergency procedures
Review employee satisfaction results
Solicit employee feedback
Ensure regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
4 years experience in engineering and maintenance or related professional area
technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing
OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major
2 years experience in engineering and maintenance or related professional area
