Job Description

The Company currently have vacancies for a Chief Engineer in our SOV fleet. Start date 9th February 2026. Permanent position. 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off rotation.

Job Responsibility

Responsible for the technical status of the ship, its machinery and propulsion systems
Ensure all equipment onboard is operational
Ensure vessel complies with relevant rules and regulations
Carry out safe, efficient and economic operation and maintenance of all machinery, systems and specialist equipment
Ensure effective and efficient watch is maintained in the engine room
Report defects via company approved planned maintenance system
Update status and content of defects
Requisition stores, spares and equipment for the Engine Department
Delegate tasks to Engine Room staff
Actively promote and progress company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Policy
Actively promote inter-departmental communications

Requirements

Worked in a Chief Engineer capacity previously
Hold a UK CoC / UK FSE
Non-UK candidates willing to apply for UK equivalent certificate of competency considered

Requirements

At least 3 years of management or supervisory experience in a hotel

Any building trade license/certificate from the state of hotel’s operation preferred
