Job Description:

We are seeking a Chief Credit Officer to join our team in College Station, Texas. In this role, you will be tasked with the oversight and management of our credit administration, compliance, collections, and credit analysis functions. This position is instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our loan portfolio and preventing loan losses.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee and manage the credit administration, compliance, collections, and credit analysis functions
  • Review and manage financial institution loan policy and procedures to prevent loan losses
  • Oversee the full range of manager duties for the Credit Administration
  • Conduct analyses on all large loans and aggregate lending
  • Ensure the policy and procedure of the loan portfolio are effectively managed
  • Monitor and manage a team of credit officers
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues efficiently
  • Process customer credit applications accurately
  • Maintain accurate records of customer credit
  • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a credit officer role or similar
  • Proficiency in credit-related skills such as Commercial Credit, Consumer Credit, and Business Lending
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Commercial Lending and Consumer Lending
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of Lending Policies
  • Familiarity with Lending Regulation is essential
  • Ability to lead, manage, and inspire a team
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record in risk management and making data-driven decisions
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field is required
  • Master's degree or higher is preferred
  • Professional certifications in credit or risk management are advantageous
  • Proficient in using financial software and databases
  • Solid understanding of financial laws and regulations at the federal and state level
  • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
  • Ability to strategize and execute multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities
  • High level of commercial awareness and business acumen
