The town of Maynard, a MetroWest community of just under 11,000 residents with a vibrant and expanding economic base, is in search of a qualified, highly motivated, and compassionate candidate to serve as our next Chief Assessor. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with hours of work and days off, consistent with Town Hall hours of business, with additional monthly (evening) and annual (weekend) meeting hours as required. Responsible for professional, administrative, technical, participative, and supervisory work related to the valuation, re-valuation of all residential, industrial, and commercial real estate and personal property within the Town in accordance with Department of Revenue regulations and related Massachusetts General Laws. Provides related financial information, analysis, and consultation for the Finance Department. Provide related financial information, analysis, and consultation to the Board of Assessors for policy direction of the Assessing department and annual rate setting recommendations to the Board of Selectmen.
Job Responsibility:

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required in finance, business or another related field
Five years' experience in real estate, appraisal, or other related area or three years in a municipal assessing or equivalent combination of education and experience required
