Job Description

Seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead accounting operations for a mid-sized manufacturing company with approximately $55M in annual revenue. This role oversees financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting support, and process improvements while supervising one Staff Accountant and partnering with operations and leadership teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage daily accounting functions including GL, AP/AR, fixed assets, and reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes
  • Monitor internal controls, tax compliance, audits, and regulatory reporting
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and KPI reporting
  • Analyze financial performance and present findings to leadership
  • Improve accounting processes and ERP system utilization
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff

Requirements

  • Accounting degree (no finance degrees)
  • Prior Management experience (one report for this role)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience. Preferably 5 years
  • Manufacturing Industry experience preferred
