Job Description:

We are a fast-growing, internationally run software development company based in Da Nang, Vietnam. Specializing in web and mobile applications, we serve clients from across the globe. Our operations are stable and efficient, supported by our dedicated accounting team. We are now looking to elevate our financial strategy and operations with the help of a seasoned Chief Accountant. As Chief Accountant, you will play a strategic and hands-on role in managing the financial health and structure of the company. You will collaborate directly with the CEO and oversee all accounting and financial activities to ensure transparency, compliance, and efficiency. Your insights and leadership will be critical in guiding our business through its next phase of growth and potential fundraising.

Job Responsibility:

Act as a trusted financial advisor to the CEO on company performance, risks, and growth opportunities
Develop and implement company-wide financial plans aligned with annual KPIs and business goals
Build financial models, forecasts, and decision-support tools for long-term planning
Advise on international invoicing, transfer pricing, tax exposure, and cross-border transactions
Prepare the company for audits, fundraising, or potential external partnerships
Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports with actionable insights for leadership
Manage company budgets, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for improvement
Control and evaluate cash flows to ensure financial sustainability
Create profit & loss reports, financial statements, and monthly closings
Supervise cost accounting and internal financial controls
Ensure financial data accuracy and alignment with Vietnamese accounting standards and international practices
Organize and maintain a systematic, professional accounting document system
Oversee daily financial activities, including payment processing, banking, and treasury inventory
Validate and reconcile vendor invoices, accounting entries, and tax declarations
Manage payroll processes and ensure proper employee compensation tracking
Ensure accurate revenue and expense recording
issue and track customer invoices and collections
Coordinate annual audits, asset stocktakes, and reporting activities
Review internal contracts, sales/purchase agreements, and assist with legal/government correspondence
Ensure compliance with tax laws, accounting standards, and corporate reporting obligations

Requirements:

Chief Accountant Certificate (mandatory)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar senior finance role, preferably in FDI or IT/software companies
Strong knowledge of Vietnamese tax regulations and compliance
Proven experience with internal accounting systems (experience with Fast Accounting Online)
Very good command of English, both spoken and written
Familiarity with international finance practices and audit processes
Hands-on, pragmatic, and strategic approach to both financial leadership and day-to-day operations

Nice to have:

Experience with Xero is a strong plus
CPA certification or audit background is a big advantage
