Job Description

A good client of ours are currently seeking a high calibre local government finance professional to provide ongoing support across their finance function. The role is flexible in terms of remit. They are looking for a resourceful, hands-on accountant who is comfortable supporting a broad range of activity, from business partnering and day to day financial support through to pulling together working papers for the statement of accounts. This is a small district council, so adaptability is key. The successful candidate will need to cover a wide spread of responsibilities while the current Deputy Section 151 Officer steps into a part time acting up role, and the substantive Section 151 is partially diverted due to Local Government Reorganisation commitments. In effect, this is a practical part backfill to stabilise the team during a busy period.
