Cheque Operations Officer

• Ensure that all International and Domestic Cheque payments are processed in line with the Central Bank guidelines including all HSBC policies
• Ensure sufficient oversight on the back-end processing with the Global Service Centers (GSC) teams and develop good working relationships with the support functions
• Inform and influence the decision making of senior leadership by use of management information, business performance information, analytics, forums and stakeholder feedback
• Should have a very strong passion towards delivering world class customer experience
• Seek continuous improvements in efficiency of service provision and cost effectiveness of operations
• Be responsible for meeting operational risk targets, managing the risk and control environment and maintaining and observing all HSBC control standards including implementation of internal and external audit recommendations
• Leading and mentoring the team to ensure daily operations are carried out in an efficient manner while proving feedback for staff development

• Prior experience in managing processes pertaining to Payments and cheques will be an added advantage
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
