Support high quality practical science in a busy school laboratory environment, helping pupils learn chemistry safely through hands‑on experimentation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Preparing equipment, materials and chemical solutions for lessons
  • supporting practical activities and demonstrations
  • helping to maintain laboratories and preparation areas to a high standard
  • contributing to safe working practices by following established procedures for chemical handling, storage and disposal
  • maintaining accurate records and supporting health and safety checks across learning spaces
  • supporting co-curricular activities, events and departmental projects

Requirements:

  • Good organisation, attention to detail and a proactive approach
  • ability to work calmly and professionally in a busy laboratory environment
  • experience in a laboratory or educational setting is welcomed, but enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to learn are equally important
