Job Description:

Our beauty client is seeking a detail-driven and resourceful Chemist to support product formulation and development within their R&D team. This individual will contribute to the creation, testing, and refinement of cosmetic formulas while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on chemist looking to expand their experience in cosmetic product development.

Job Responsibility:

  • Complete cosmetic formulas and support the formulation process from prototype through final version
  • Conduct and monitor formula stability testing, documenting results and recommending necessary adjustments
  • Modify and troubleshoot formulas to meet performance, regulatory, and product specification requirements
  • Develop and prepare prototype batches and perform iterative improvements as needed
  • Provide creative, solution-oriented approaches to formulation challenges
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and other internal support teams
  • Manage a minimum of five active formulation projects simultaneously while meeting development timelines
  • Maintain accurate documentation, lab records, and formulation data

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or related scientific discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on formulation experience
  • cosmetics industry experience strongly preferred
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with standard laboratory and data management tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a positive, solutions-focused attitude
