We are partnering with a global client; a powerhouse division of a large global manufacturer, to find a self-motivated, autonomous Chemical Technician. If you combine a strong background in water chemistry with the natural ability to build fantastic customer relationships, this is your opportunity to secure a long-term career with a true industry leader. Location: 100% field-based. Salary: £25.18 per hour. Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week), Temporary with strong potential to go permanent. Benefits: Company vehicle and fuel card provided.

Job Responsibility

  • Executing required chemistry tests, logging and reporting data, and performing system analysis to ensure customer operations run at optimal levels
  • Inspecting, calibrating, and maintaining chemical feed systems, process monitoring equipment, and pre-treatment systems
  • Sampling and managing cooling water, steam plants, closed systems, process water, and wet end chemistry
  • Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders on-site, managing chemical inventories, ordering materials, and writing technical reports

Requirements

  • Graduate degree or relevant qualification in Chemistry, Biology, Sciences, Mechanical, or Process Engineering
  • Hands-on experience working with steam plants, cooling towers, closed systems, and water treatment testing
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and the ability to comfortably learn internal digital platforms
  • A self-motivated, detail-oriented team player who can communicate comfortably and directly with corporate customers
  • A full, clean UK driver's license is mandatory, as this role involves 100% travel

  • Empty trash, shovel, perform maintenance or repair duties, use power equipment, drills or other hand tools
  • Completes minor repairs to rental units and facilities as needed
  • Completes routine maintenance and minor emergency repairs, plumbing, sewage, construction & street repair
  • Inspects irrigation system regularly to ensure it is working properly, repairs as necessary
  • Inspects playground area and equipment, pool/spa area, and other recreational amenities to ensure everything is in good condition, making minor repairs as needed
  • Ensures the resort is presentable and inviting at all times and that it adheres to Sun's curb appeal standards
  • Regularly treats for weeds, weed whips, rakes leaves, plants flowers/shrubs, spreads mulch/woodchips/stones, trims shrubs and hedges, cuts down and removes tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions, and performs other lawn care services as necessary
  • Ensures trash/debris is picked up daily from common areas and streets on a daily basis. Empties common area trash containers as needed
  • Cleans resort amenities which may include clubhouses, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, resort offices, restrooms, laundry areas, bath houses, and maintenance garage
  • Maintains vacant sites, including strap-downs & removal of trash and debris
