A passionate and qualified individual who is driven and focused with a desire to learn and succeed in a culinary/hospitality career to join our Kitchen Team at Ayers Rock Resort.
Job Responsibility:
Assist the kitchen team in delivering high-quality food to guests by preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and supporting the kitchen team in the execution of exceptional culinary experiences
Oversee a designated section of the kitchen, supporting the Chef de Partie in daily operations, and ensuring the consistent preparation of high-quality dishes
The Demi Chef also takes on leadership responsibilities, including training junior staff and stepping into a supervisory role when required
Preparing and presenting dishes that meet the hotel's culinary standards and delight guests, by following recipes maintain food safety practices, and contribute to a collaborative kitchen environment that ensures smooth service and quality cuisine.
Requirements:
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and/or Certificate III in Patisserie or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of experience post-apprenticeship in a similar role
Previous experience within a large kitchen operation
Experience within a hotel or resort environment
Understanding of food safety standards and HACCP principles.
