Requirements:

  • Experienced cook with a recognised qualification
  • S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Sound understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)
  • Ability to maintain highest standards of food safety and kitchen practice
  • Creativity in menu planning
  • Pride in presenting nutritious and appetising dishes
  • Genuine passion for making mealtimes special
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Caring approach
  • Ability to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect
  • Required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to role
  • Ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns
