As part of our team, you will be assisting the onsite Chef Manager with the preparation and serving of all meals, including supper, for the site. You will be in sole charge of cooking suppers for 10 - 20 pupils Monday to Thursday, so it’s important to be confident working & cooking independently! This is a site-based role, working directly in our school kitchen. You won’t just be behind a till or in a restaurant - you’ll be hands-on preparing, cooking, and serving meals that children genuinely enjoy.
Job Responsibility:
Preparing main meals and snacks using fresh, seasonal ingredients, cooking for a volume of 200+ each day
Occasionally covering Holiday Club sessions
In sole charge of cooking suppers for 10 - 20 pupils Monday to Thursday
Requirements:
Assisting the onsite Chef Manager with the preparation and serving of all meals
Confident working & cooking independently
Keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times
Undergo an enhanced DBS check
