Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking candidates for the Chef Manager position at Aiken Regional Medical Center, located in Aiken, SC. The Chef Manager is responsible for developing and executing culinary solutions to meet customer needs and tastes. Offers a wide variety of culinary solutions to meet customer and client needs and tastes. Oversees and manages culinary operations to meet production, presentation, and service standards. Applies culinary techniques to food preparation and manages the final presentation and service of food.
Job Responsibility:
Manages production for 3 points of service: patients, retail and catering
Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities
Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrates culinary techniques
Requirements:
Requires at least 2 years’ experience in a culinary management role
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Healthcare experience preferred
Culinary Arts degree desired
SERV Safe certification or HACCP knowledge required
