Job Responsibility

  • Assisting in daily food preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes across menus and specials to a high standard
  • Supporting allergy awareness and strictly following food safety and OH&S guidelines
  • Delivering consistently high-quality food and service in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Helping to implement catering controls, minimize food waste, and improve kitchen efficiency
  • Must be available Tuesday and Saturdays
  • Working approximately 25 to 30 hours per week, extra hours during peak periods, and time off over Christmas and New Year
  • Being part of a dynamic, ever-changing environment where no two days are the same

Requirements

  • Holds a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • Has strong experience in à la carte service, as well as events and functions
  • Demonstrates sound knowledge of OH&S and safe work practices
  • Shows creativity and initiative in contributing to menu development using fresh, seasonal ingredients
  • Has a solid understanding of dietary requirements, allergens, and modern cooking techniques
  • Displays strong leadership skills, particularly in high-pressure, customer-focused environments
  • Communicates clearly, works well in a team, and is confident in teaching and supporting other team members
