Job Description:

Langdale Chase Hotel, a 5-star hotel on the banks of Lake Windermere, is looking for a Chef de Partie to join the opening team. The hotel has recently undergone a full refurbishment and achieved 5 Star Status from the AA. This is a rare opportunity to work under a talented Executive Chef in one of the Lake District's most exciting hotels.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the senior kitchen team with driving food standards
  • Producing exceptional dishes to a four Rosette standard
  • Check and account for freshness and quality of all orders

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a 2/3 Rosette kitchen
  • Fine dining, Michelin or Five-star hotel background
  • Solid understanding of modern cookery
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a calm and professional manner whilst running your own kitchen section
  • Flexible approach with a willingness to learn new techniques
  • Ability to work on your own as well as being a true team player
  • Good organisational skills
  • Comfortable working in a high-level pressured environment
  • Follow and manage all HACCAP procedures
  • Ensure training and standards are always kept
  • Ensure staffing levels are kept to correct business levels
  • Run an organised efficient clean section
  • Ensure highest levels of hygiene and safety are maintained at all times
  • Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production, presentation standards
  • Uphold team SOP’s
  • Help development of kitchen garden and growing cycles
  • Support other team members across the kitchen
  • Provide a portfolio of example menus for interviews
