As a Chef de Partie, you will lead by example, overseeing a specific section of the kitchen while ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation and consistency. From crafting dishes that delight guests to mentoring junior team members, you’ll play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences.

Job Responsibility:

Supervise and coordinate activities within your section during busy period and supports team efforts ensuring smooth operations
Prepare and present high-quality dishes within your designated section
Ensure all food preparation and storage meets health, safety and hygiene standards
Work closely with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and other team members to ensure kitchen efficiency
Collaborate with the other F&B outlets to ensure efficiency
Innovate and contribute ideas for menu development and improvement
Anticipate and address guest needs, offering personalized recommendations and maintain a focus on guests satisfaction
Uphold brand values and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service

Requirements:

Commercial Cookery Trade Certificate and minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Chef de Partie role in a 5 star Luxury Lifestyle Hotel environment preferred
The confidence to promote ideas and make sound decisions under pressure
Excellent verbal communication skills
Proven track record of training and development of Commis Chefs & Apprentices
Full knowledge of HACCP and Workplace Health & Safety
Build and maintain lasting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Financial acumen with Food Costs and Payroll Costs and be able to talk to these
Previous experience using Birchstreet procurement system
