Job Description

Join White Rabbit Hospitality as Chef de Partie – The Randolph, Oxford. Oxford's kitchens deserve the best. That's where you come in. The Randolph is one of Britain's most iconic hotels, a Grade II listed landmark at the heart of Oxford, where a rich culinary heritage is being matched with serious modern ambition. As Chef de Partie, you'll be a key part of the team driving that ambition: taking ownership of your section, maintaining exceptional standards, and helping deliver food that lives up to one of the country's most storied venues. White Rabbit Hospitality is a fast-growing, multi-brand hospitality group with a vision to be the world's leading hospitality incubator. The Randolph is one of our flagship properties and this is your opportunity to sharpen your skills, grow your career, and cook at a genuinely exceptional level. This isn't a role for someone who wants to coast through a service. This is a role for a chef who takes pride in their section, cares deeply about the food leaving their pass, and wants to be part of a kitchen that is raising the bar every day. If that sounds like you, we want to hear from you. Everything we do at White Rabbit Hospitality is grounded in four values: Hospitality is at our core, We do the right thing, We pursue excellence, and We are all entrepreneurs. These aren't wall art, they're how we work every single day. OUR VALUES - IN EVERY SERVICE HOSPITALITY IS AT OUR CORE - You understand that great food is an act of hospitality. Every plate you send out is a guest experience, and you take that seriously. WE DO THE RIGHT THING - You work with integrity. You support your colleagues, you follow the right processes, and you hold yourself to a standard you're proud of. WE PURSUE EXCELLENCE - You sweat the details, seasoning, presentation, consistency, timing. You know that excellence is built plate by plate, service by service. WE ARE ALL ENTREPRENEURS - You take ownership of your section. You don't wait to be told, you prepare, you anticipate, and you bring your best every shift. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? As Chef de Partie at The Randolph, your role will include: Taking full ownership of your designated section and delivering consistent, high-quality output across all services; Preparing and cooking dishes to the highest standard in line with menu specifications and head chef direction; Supporting junior team members, commis chefs and kitchen assistants, through guidance and on-the-job coaching; Maintaining correct mise en place levels and ensuring your section is fully prepped and service-ready at all times; Upholding strict food safety, hygiene, and allergen compliance in line with HACCP standards; Monitoring stock levels, minimising waste, and flagging ordering requirements to senior chefs; Contributing positively to the wider kitchen team culture, working hard, communicating clearly, and supporting colleagues during busy services; Adapting quickly across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and private dining requirements as the business demands WHAT DO YOU NEED? Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie ready to step up; A passion for food and a genuine desire to develop your craft in a quality kitchen environment; Solid technical cookery skills with the ability to perform consistently under pressure; Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations; A team-first attitude, reliable, communicative, and positive on and off the pass; The ability to work efficiently across a range of services and adapt as the kitchen requires; Right to Work in the United Kingdom WHAT WE OFFER: Aside from an OTE rate of £17.25 per hour we provide: A chef de partie role in one of Oxford's most iconic and celebrated hotel kitchens; Career development and progression across the White Rabbit Hospitality portfolio, including Kricket, Lina Stores, Graduate Cambridge, and beyond; Team discount across all WRH brands; Meals on duty; Pension scheme; A supportive kitchen culture where craft is valued and progression is real; The chance to be part of a hospitality group that is genuinely building something special The Randolph is an outstanding kitchen to grow in.
