We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at No.1a Duke Street. You will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene are consistently met.
Job Responsibility:
Take ownership of a designated kitchen section (e.g., grill, larder)
Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with the restaurant’s standards
Ensure all mise en place is completed efficiently before service
Maintain consistency in food quality and portion control
Support junior chefs and assist with their training and development
Monitor stock levels and communicate ordering needs
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams
Assist in menu development and daily specials where required
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step up
Solid understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP)
A team player with a positive and proactive attitude
