Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at No.1a Duke Street. You will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene are consistently met.

Job Responsibility

  • Take ownership of a designated kitchen section (e.g., grill, larder)
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with the restaurant’s standards
  • Ensure all mise en place is completed efficiently before service
  • Maintain consistency in food quality and portion control
  • Support junior chefs and assist with their training and development
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate ordering needs
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
  • Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams
  • Assist in menu development and daily specials where required

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step up
  • Solid understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP)
  • A team player with a positive and proactive attitude
