Job Description:

Chef de Partie position at Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa Edinburgh, working in an award-winning kitchen brigade serving Scottish/British food combining contemporary flavours with traditional techniques using finest quality ingredients.

Job Responsibility:

Lead section in the kitchen
Ensure section is fully prepared for service times
Control other chefs working on the section
Work in diverse kitchen serving breakfast, lunch and dinner
Prepare Scottish/British food combining contemporary flavours with traditional techniques

Requirements:

At least 3 year's experience within a rosette standard kitchen environment
Banqueting experience
Experience with banqueting volume
Knowledgeable of classic food preparations, dishes and cooking
Experience in British cuisine
Experience in working in a multi outlet kitchen operation
Knowledge of all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, receiving, storage and sanitation
Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production and presentation standards
Ability to assess quality control and adhere to service standards
Ability to lead and support junior team members
Ability to produce own work in accordance with a deadline
Ability to seek solutions to minor obstacles
Ability to project a pleasant and positive professional image
