We’re looking for a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team in Cornwall. You’ll play a key role across our two restaurants and in-house bakery, preparing and presenting high-quality dishes and pastries that delight our guests. If you have a keen eye for detail, love working in a team, and are excited by a fast-paced, hands-on role, this is the role for you. Hours of work are 45 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, with a mix of early and evening shifts.

Job Responsibility

  • Produce high-quality dishes consistently across all sections of the kitchen
  • Work flexibly across different sections – Sauce, Ogo (adult dining), Plant Fish & Grill (family dining), Breakfast & Pastry
  • Assist in developing and testing new recipes and seasonal menu items
  • Ensure daily mise en place is completed efficiently and to the required standard
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization, in line with food hygiene regulations
  • Train and supervise Commis Chefs and apprentices in your section
  • Collaborate with the team to manage production for retail and in-house needs
  • Monitor stock and assist with ordering and inventory control

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in a hotel or restaurant
  • Relevant culinary or pastry qualifications preferred
  • Strong knowledge of classic cooking techniques
  • Creativity and passion for food
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Positive, proactive attitude with willingness to learn
  • Flexibility to work across shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
