Job Description:

SEC Food are excited to be expanding our exceptional culinary team, based at Scotland’s most iconic and well-known events venue! We are on the lookout for experienced, talented additions to our culinary team, including: Commis Chefs, Chef De Parties and Senior Chef De Parties to help us deliver the highest quality catering, which reflects and enhances the campus’ outstanding reputation! Applicants will strive to encompass our key behaviours; teamwork and collaboration, whilst ensuring all of our guests are provided the best catering experience possible.

Job Responsibility:

Help to prepare, cook and present food to exceptional standards
Maintain High standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety
Prepare food to menu specifications ensuring that Levy standards and procedures are followed
Minimise product wastage
Work efficiently as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to menu changes and kitchen set ups
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment
Assist with new team members by giving respectful and encouraging coaching

Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar role in a professional kitchen (minimum 2-3 years preferred)
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards (HACCP procedures, allergen control, temperature logs, etc.)
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
Ability to manage a specific section efficiently

Nice to have:

Formal culinary qualification (NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3, or equivalent)
Experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen (depending on your business)
Knowledge of allergen handling and dietary requirements
Passion for food and ongoing learning
