The Chef de Partie is responsible for preparing meals, regulating kitchen equipment temperature, ensuring food quality, maintaining food logs, and supporting team members. The role also includes assisting in staff training, adhering to safety and quality standards, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a luxury hospitality environment.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare special meals or substitute items
Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
Pull food from freezer storage to thaw
Ensure proper portions, arrangements, and food garnishes
Maintain food logs
Monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food
Communicate assistance needs during busy periods
Inform Chef of excess food items for daily specials
Inform Food & Beverage staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items
Comply with recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards
Prepare and cook cold foods
Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, motivating and coaching employees
Serve as a role model
Adhere to safety and security policies and procedures
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Anticipate and address guests’ service needs
Develop and maintain positive working relationships
Comply with quality expectations and standards
Lift, carry or move objects up to 25 pounds
Requirements:
Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
At least 3 years of related work experience
Nice to have:
Candidates with sushi experience
