Job Responsibility:
Support the Head Chef in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the production kitchen, maintaining high standards of food service and creativity
Manage specific sections, ensuring the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals consistently meet high standards
Assist in creating seasonal menus that cater to diverse tastes, dietary requirements, and volume needs
Ensure meals are produced efficiently while maintaining creativity and attention to detail
Protect the health and safety of all guests and team members by following food safety, health, and hygiene standards, ensuring all due diligence paperwork is completed accurately
Contribute to fostering a positive and collaborative team culture by maintaining composure and enthusiasm, even during busy or high-pressure periods
Assist with stock control, ordering, and supplier communication to ensure kitchen operations run seamlessly
Support with training and development of junior team members and kitchen porters, helping to create a high-performing, supportive team
Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure optimal functionality
