We are seeking a skilled and motivated Catering Chef de Partie to join our team at Royal College of Nurses. Job Responsibility:

  • Support the Head Chef in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the production kitchen, maintaining high standards of food service and creativity
  • Manage specific sections, ensuring the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals consistently meet high standards
  • Assist in creating seasonal menus that cater to diverse tastes, dietary requirements, and volume needs
  • Ensure meals are produced efficiently while maintaining creativity and attention to detail
  • Protect the health and safety of all guests and team members by following food safety, health, and hygiene standards, ensuring all due diligence paperwork is completed accurately
  • Contribute to fostering a positive and collaborative team culture by maintaining composure and enthusiasm, even during busy or high-pressure periods
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and supplier communication to ensure kitchen operations run seamlessly
  • Support with training and development of junior team members and kitchen porters, helping to create a high-performing, supportive team
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure optimal functionality
