Chef de Partie - Pastry position at AC Hotel by Marriott Manila. Responsible for supervising pastry kitchen activities, creating decorative food displays, ensuring food quality and presentation, and assisting with team management and training in a hospitality environment.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers
Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays
Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
Monitor quantity of food prepared
Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock items
Prepare special meals or substitute items
Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks
Provide cooks with needed items
Monitor stock of kitchen supplies and food
Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program
Ensure quality of food items and notify manager of issues
Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees
Follow company safety and security policies
Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
Complete safety training and certifications
Maintain clean and professional uniform and appearance
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Protect company assets
Address guests' service needs
Speak using clear and professional language

Requirements:
Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
4 to 6 years of related work experience
At least 2 years of supervisory experience
Ability to supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers
Knowledge of food presentation and decorative food displays
Ability to ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
Experience monitoring food quantities and inventory
Ability to maintain kitchen logs for food safety programs
Ability to assist in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees
Physical ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Ability to reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds
