Job Description:

The Ritz-Carlton Aruba is seeking a Chef d'Partie specializing in pastry who will join our culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. In this role, you will ensure culinary excellence by adhering to recipes, quality standards, and The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards. Responsibilities include preparing special meals, monitoring food quality, and assisting in team management.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare special meals or substitute items
Regulate temperature of ovens and other cooking equipment
Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and garnish of food
Monitor quality and quantity of prepared food
Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling employees
Follow safety and security policies
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Anticipate and address guest service needs.

Requirements:

At least 3 years of related work experience
Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 25 pounds without assistance
Clear and professional communication skills
Knowledge of food preparation, recipes, and quality standards.

Nice to have:

Experience in a luxury hotel or fine-dining establishment
Familiarity with The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards.
