Recent experience of cooking for large numbers in a commercial setting
previously worked with or managed a motivated catering team
experience of providing food for people with special dietary requirements
flexible, can work alternate weekends
enhanced DBS check required for this role

Job Responsibility

Running the kitchen and meal experience for elderly residents
creating and preparing a varied and nourishing menu
designing a varied menu that reflects residents' tastes and supports their nutritional needs
ensuring mealtimes are always a high-quality experience
maintaining the highest food standards
supporting, training and directing the kitchen team
mentoring and motivating on quality, safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
assisting the General Manager in developing and managing the budgetary, human and material resources within the department
