Job Description:

Chef Carnicero position at Marriott Cancun An All-Inclusive Resort requires preparing various cuts of meat, monitoring food quality, assisting management, and adhering to quality standards and safety protocols. Job Responsibility:

Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator
check the quantity and quality of deliveries and received products
date and record food and supply deliveries
rotate food in freezer, cooler, and stockroom
prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and preparation checklist
assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching employees
report maintenance needs, accidents, and unsafe work conditions
maintain clean and professional appearance
develop and maintain positive working relationships with team
support team to reach common goals

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
4 to 6 years of related work experience
ability to prepare various cuts of meat including beef, lamb, and pork
ability to monitor food quality and ensure adherence to recipes, quality standards, and food preparation checklist
ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and handle objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds
