Job Description:

We’re on the lookout for an inspiring leader who’s passionate about creating great customer experiences at the checkout. As our Checkout & Payment Manager at IKEA Belgrade store, you’ll make sure everything runs smoothly at the cash line - from leading and developing your team to making the payment experience easy and efficient for our customers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the Checkout & Payment team and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure customer-focused culture creates a rewarding customer experience
  • Lead, coach and develop a competent, high performing Checkout & Payment team, including best practices, processes, and methods. Be present and hands-on on the shop floor, supporting your team during peak times
  • Ensure operational excellence in daily operations in order to enhance the Check Out Services/Cash Office Area experience
  • Support a customer-focused culture throughout the complete unit and ensure an overall shopping experience
  • Lead the Checkout and Payment assignment, strategy implementation, and manage its performance
  • Set, analyze and ensure performance standards are met
  • corrective actions are implemented and sustained to ensure an excellent customer checkout and payments experience
  • Contribute to the creation and operational implementation of the local Customer Relations action plan
  • Maintain relations with external and internal partners, e.g. cash in transit company
  • Secure customer insights and competitor analysis are used to identify initiatives and continuously improve the checkout and payment experience

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience and a minimum of 1 year in a leadership role
  • Ideally, previous retail working experience and an interest in improving the checkout and payment journey
  • A customer-friendly attitude - polite, approachable, and solution-oriented
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, including staff planning and workflow management
  • Confidence in ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Fluency in both written and spoken Serbian and English
  • An energetic, flexible mindset - you thrive on dynamic days and shifting priorities

Nice to have:
