Job Responsibility:

  • Plan, lead and ensure operational excellence for our Checkout Department
  • Ensuring standards and daily tasks are achieved with having an eye for the detail. Able to notice the little things that most people don’t whilst working in a timely manner
  • Effectively plan, monitor and prioritise tasks throughout the day
  • Identifying and deterring suspicious behaviour with a focus on loss prevention, ensuring a safe and secure store environment for staff and customers
  • To develop the needs of team members including robust training, creating development from within the team
  • Maintain and audit service standards
  • Responsible for the sale of liquor and tobacco
  • Maintaining our Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards
  • Effectively resolve all customer related enquiries and complaints when able to and escalate issues to management when required
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and best practise guidelines

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years’ customer service experience in a supermarket or retail environment
  • Liquor Controller Qualification Certificate
  • Current or previous Checkout leadership experience advantageous
  • High level of computer skills
