Checkout Assistant Manager

• Assist the Checkout Manager in the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring efficient and friendly service to all customers
• Provide a strong customer service focus, ensuring that customer needs are met promptly and professionally
• Manage the department in the Checkout Manager's absence
• Train, mentor, and support checkout staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment
• Manage customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
• Monitor and manage cash handling procedures
• Ensure compliance with all store policies and procedures, particularly those related to health and food safety
• Assist with scheduling and coordination of departments rosters
• Duty Management including the responsibility for the sale and supply of liquor

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a retail or customer service environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
• A proven record of training and success
• A positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service
• A current Liquor Licence and First Aid certificate is preferred
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
