Job Description:

The Charter & MICE Manager is responsible for driving sales and managing exclusive yacht charters and MICE opportunities for our ultra-luxury Orient Express Yacht. This role requires a proactive professional with experience in both the yacht charter market and the MICE segment, capable of developing client relationships, coordinating bespoke events, and achieving sales targets while upholding the Orient Express brand's luxury standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Proactively develop and manage a pipeline of sales opportunities for exclusive yacht charters and MICE groups
  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business from the yacht charter market (brokers, family offices) and MICE segment (corporate clients, event planners, incentive houses)
  • Work closely with ACCOR Global Sales and Orient Express Management Company to achieve MICE and charter sales objectives
  • Conduct sales calls, presentations, and manage proposals/contracts for incentive groups and full yacht charters
  • Strive to meet or exceed annual sales goals for the combined charter and MICE segments
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with yacht charter brokers, corporate clients, event planners, and other key stakeholders
  • Manage day-to-day client communications, including pricing inquiries, contract negotiation, and ensuring overall client satisfaction from initial contact through post-event follow-up
  • Understand client needs to tailor bespoke yacht charter itineraries and MICE event experiences
  • Travel as needed to conduct client meetings, develop new business, and attend industry trade shows
  • Liaise closely with Operations, Hotel Services, and shipboard teams to define and execute bespoke yacht charters and MICE events
  • Ensure seamless coordination between clients and internal teams for flawless delivery of ultra-luxury guest experiences
  • Manage sales administration, including basic budgeting, invoicing, and CRM record keeping

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or account management within the luxury hospitality, travel, or yachting industry
  • Demonstrated experience with MICE sales and/or the yacht charter market
  • Existing network within corporate MICE and/or luxury travel/yachting sectors is a significant advantage
  • Fluent proficiency (written and spoken) in both French and English required
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment
