Job Description:

As a Chart Retrieval Specialist, you will visit local healthcare offices (within ~100 miles of Rochester) to retrieve medical records for health plan audits and reviews. This position is project-based work, chart retrieval is completed as-needed, and hours are not guaranteed.

Job Responsibility:

Travel to doctor offices, clinics, or hospitals in Rochester and surrounding areas to retrieve paper or electronic medical records
Use a company-provided laptop, scanner, and flash drive to collect and securely upload medical charts to our system
Communicate with office staff to identify the specific records needed (e.g., MRI reports, test results, prescription history)
Wrap up your workday at home — uploading documents and reporting your time and mileage

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (equipment, charts)
Basic computer and file management skills (uploading, scanning, saving documents)
Comfort navigating EMR systems (Epic, Allscripts, NextGen, etc. — a plus, not required)
Prior experience in medical offices, pharmacy, or front-desk reception is helpful
Must be friendly, respectful, and able to handle patient record retrieval in a professional manner

Nice to have:

Prior experience in medical offices, pharmacy, or front-desk reception
Comfort navigating EMR systems (Epic, Allscripts, NextGen, etc.)
