Chargehand (OHL) for the Overhead Lines, Necton project. Talented people are the key to our success. We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Chargehand to join our team and support the delivery of a range of exciting schemes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to further develop their skills and take on increasing levels of responsibility.

Job Responsibility:

  • To construct/maintain/replace 400kv overhead electrical networks
  • To carryout, continuously review and brief your team on hazards and risks associated with each project
  • To complete required documentation
  • To lead by example and motivate your team to safely undertake work
  • To ensure that all work is conducted safely, efficiently and in accordance with Company procedures
  • Install and construct overhead electricity networks to relevant construction standards and exacting quality standards
  • To interact with members of the public in a polite and courteous manner

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Charge hand or Supervisor
  • Experience assembling and erecting OHL towers
  • Experience in reconductoring twin to twin and quad to triple transmission lines
  • Demonstrable experience on transmission projects
  • Current NG authorisations including NSI 4 competent persons
  • Full UK driving licence
