Job Description

The Registered Nurse Patient Care Charge will manage, supervise, and coordinate the care of residents on their neighborhood on the PM shift by performing the essential functions of the position.

Job Responsibility

Manage, supervise, and coordinate the care of residents on their neighborhood on the PM shift
Evaluate activities of the neighborhood to ensure patient care, staff relations, and efficiency of service
Evaluate to ensure standards of care and Federal/State regulations are followed
Coordinate resident care with interdisciplinary team
Serve as a resource for staff
Supervise PM shift staff
Review and update care plans as needed
Complete MDS assessments as assigned

Requirements

Registered Nursing degree
Registered Nurse: MN
Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
2-3 years experience

Maintain accountability for controlled substances by reviewing inventory medications with another licensed nurse and notifying supervisors of any discrepancies
Performs routine charting duties in accordance with established charting and documentation policies and procedures
Supervise the CNAs, LPN’s and the unit clerk in regards to work procedures, expediting workflow, evaluations, counseling and discipline
