Join our team as a night shift, full-time, Emergency Room Charge Registered Nurse in Amarillo, TX. Thrive in a People-First Environment and Make Healthcare Better.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation and coordination of patient care for a shift
  • Provides leadership to the staff by working cooperatively with the nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team to assure that care is given through utilization of the nursing process

Requirements:

  • High School (or GED equivalent) diploma
  • Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
  • Current license as an RN in the state of Texas
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience

  • Administer and assess each patient’s treatment plan
  • Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to direct patient care staff
  • Participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities
  • Perform ongoing, systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre – during – post treatment
  • Assess, collaborate and document patient/family’s basic learning needs to provide initial and ongoing education
  • Direct and provide safe effective patient care for assigned patients as prescribed for all modality specific treatment procedures
  • Initiate and coordinate communication with FKC and Non-FKC dialysis providers and appropriate contracted facility personnel
  • Perform the implementation, administration, monitoring, and documentation of patient's response to prescribed intradialytic transfusions
