Job Description:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Attorney to join their growing team. This role is ideal for an attorney with at least five years of dedicated bankruptcy practice experience, a strong understanding of Chapter 11 proceedings, and a desire to engage deeply with complex and sophisticated work. This position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative, supportive team that values strategic thinking, analytical strength, and client‑focused advocacy. A hallmark of our bankruptcy practice is our substantial focus on preference actions. The ideal candidate will bring experience—or a strong interest—in litigation related to preferential transfers, avoidance actions, and related claims common in Chapter 11 cases. You will handle matters involving complex financial transactions, multi‑party disputes, and high‑stakes recoveries. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who thrives on technically challenging work and wants to deepen their experience in this specialized area.

Job Responsibility:

  • Represent clients in Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters, including reorganization planning, adversary proceedings, motion practice, and negotiations
  • Lead and support preference action litigation, including investigation, case strategy, and resolution
  • Analyze financial statements, transaction histories, and business records relevant to bankruptcy and avoidance claims
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and reorganization‑related documents
  • Conduct hearings, mediations, depositions, and other litigation activities
  • Advise clients on bankruptcy strategy, risks, and opportunities with clarity and confidence
  • Collaborate closely with the firm’s bankruptcy, litigation, and financial teams in a hybrid work environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of bankruptcy practice experience, with substantial exposure to Chapter 11 matters
  • Experience with preference actions, creditors’ rights, or commercial litigation strongly preferred
  • Excellent research, analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines with professionalism and precision
  • Strong client‑service orientation
  • Licensed to practice law in good standing
What we offer:
  • medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance
  • eligible to enroll in our company 401(k) plan
