Job Description

The Channel Services Specialist is a strategic, partner-facing role responsible for positioning and selling HPE Operational Services, especially attach expand new business services at the point of product sale. Serving as a trusted advisor and key account team member, the CSS collaborates with partners to understand customer goals, operational priorities, and support business growth. This role involves building relationships with multiple teams and BU’s, supporting extended teams, developing sales strategies, and increasing services penetration. It carries a quota, requires regular onsite partner engagement, and occasional travel.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage strategic partner and customer accounts, with a focus on CDW and key resellers
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners, customer stakeholders, PBMs, and internal teams to drive growth
  • Increase HPE Operational Services PRI (penetration rate) and attach services business through proactive engagement and portfolio enablement
  • Provide training and education on HPE services offerings
  • Collaborate with Sales Specialists and internal teams to identify and support early sales opportunities
  • Develop customer success and account plans to promote adoption and long-term growth
  • Review partner scorecards, participate in quarterly reviews, and support performance initiatives
  • Serve as a point of escalation for customer and partner issues
  • Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities and support expansion initiatives
  • Achieve sales targets
  • ensure accurate pipeline and forecast management
  • Promote HPE Services value and differentiators for profitable, recurring revenue growth
  • Educate channel reps and partners about service strategies and opportunities
  • Drive partner adoption of the Partner Ready Vantage Services Track

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • advanced degrees (MBA) preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • CCSM Level 4+ certification preferred
  • HPE GreenLake ATP certification preferred
  • proven success in customer account management, developing success plans, and achieving objectives
  • experience in project/program management, cloud operating models
  • must be within commuting distance of Chicago-area CDW partner location
  • able to work onsite 2–3 days/week with ~10–15% domestic travel
