Job Description

The Channel Sales Specialist is responsible for developing, managing and growing CloserStill Media's agency and channel partner relationships across the APAC and Europe event portfolios. This role serves as the primary commercial interface between the organisation and its network of sales agents, trade associations and government trade bodies - ensuring that channel partners are properly contracted, actively producing revenue and aligned to the Company's commercial strategy. The role sits within the China / APAC commercial function but has direct operational responsibility for Europe channel activity under the direction of the Head of China.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as the point of contact for all sales agents and channel partners across APAC and Europe
  • Own the full agency relationship lifecycle: onboarding, contracting (MOU execution), performance management, and renewal
  • Ensure all agency contracts are routed through and approved by the Head of China before execution
  • Maintain an up-to-date agency directory with contract status, commission tier, and pipeline attribution for each partner
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new agency partners in target markets — with a near-term focus on China and mainland Europe
  • Work with agents to drive qualified exhibitor pipeline across assigned events, with specific targets by event and vertical
  • Track and report agency-attributed pipeline and closed revenue through Salesforce on a weekly basis
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews with active agents and provide structured feedback to the Head of China
  • Support upsell and cross-sell conversations with existing channel partners where relevant opportunities are identified
  • Draft, manage, and coordinate MOU agreements using approved templates and tiered commission structures
  • Ensure commission structures are confirmed and accurately reflected in all executed agreements
  • Liaise with Finance to ensure commission calculations and payments are processed accurately and on time
  • Flag any commission structure escalations or exceptions to the Head of China for approval
  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant trade associations, government trade bodies, and industry groups in target markets
  • Identify pavilion and group participation opportunities with associations for key events in the portfolio
  • Represent CloserStill Media at trade missions, association forums, and relevant industry events where appropriate
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of exhibitor documentation including supporting last minute invitation letters, stand confirmation letters, and visa support letters
  • Support the Head of China in coordinating responses to agency and client queries from European event teams where these are not resolved locally
  • Maintain accurate records of all channel interactions, contract status, and pipeline activity in Salesforce
  • Contribute to Excel reporting requests from European portfolio directors as directed by the Head of China

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales, channel sales, or partnership management — preferably in events, media, or technology
  • Demonstrated experience managing agency or reseller relationships across multiple markets simultaneously
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to track and report against pipeline and revenue targets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Mandarin Chinese is required
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM or equivalent
  • comfortable with Excel-based reporting
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and manage competing priorities across time zones

Nice to have

  • Experience working with Chinese companies entering international markets (outbound China trade)
  • Familiarity with the B2B exhibition or events industry — exhibition sales experience is a strong advantage
  • Experience drafting or managing MOU or agency agreement documentation
