We are seeking a highly commercial and customer‑focused Channel Customer Marketing Lead to drive the performance of the William Grant & Sons portfolio across the Off‑Trade and eCommerce channels. Based in Hampshire, you will be leading a team of 5 Customer Marketing Managers who execute world class activations across the biggest retailers in the UK. This is a pivotal role that blends shopper insight, shopper marketing, digital commerce excellence and customer engagement to deliver standout execution in grocery and online platforms.
Job Responsibility:
Team leadership (5 people)
Drive line management standards aligned to company values that maximise employee engagement, manage performance and develop talent
Ownership of marketing investment budgets, ensuring usage aligns to strategic priority channel, customer and brand combinations
Visibility & tracking of activation spend through activity grids/internal templates
Ownership of channel plans through internal forums incl. QBRs & Business Planning
Embed M&E process and culture ensuring constant learning & application
Route to consumer activation standards tracked and measured for input into UK monthly cycle (BPM/CMR)
Build, share and execute channel activation strategy alongside Head of Channel (R(E)tail) ensuring voice of customers lives in our plans
Shopper insight (conversion audience) development & implementation in channel plans
Ensuring the right tools & process are in place to ensure best in class activations, using global tool kits and developing them to be UK ready
Strong stakeholder r/ship with heads of marketing, brand mangers & channel leads to play the important connection role between your team & the marketing/commercial functions
Manage and maintain agency roster, ensuring service levels are upheld on quality and cost
Support VT working and collaboration with Customer teams, Brand Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain
Deliver operational standards and controls on overheads/T&E, PO and invoice compliance
Requirements:
Confident leader and creative marketer with an insightful commercial mind
Strong experience in FMCG or drinks
Ability to lead teams and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
Ability to balance creative flair with disciplined execution
Ability to manage agency partners and a wide range of internal stakeholders to a high standard
