Under direction, set-up and take down rooms, chair set-ups, arena for various events. These are part time, event related positions which involve working overnights and weekends.
Job Responsibility:
Participates in room set-ups and strikes, including but not limited to chairs, tables, risers/stages, stanchions, podiums and other equipment/furniture, etc.
Builds concert stages, installs hockey dashers, glass and related equipment
Install various sporting equipment as required
Installs ice for related events
Perform work in a safe manner at all times, notifying the Supervisor immediately of any accidents/incidents and any problems or damagers to facility or equipment
Operate walkie-talkie radio devices when required
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Previous experience with similar functions desirable
Licensed and Qualified forklift/platform lift operations desirable
Ability to use hand and small power tools when required both safely and effectively
Ability to listen and follow both verbal and written instructions
Ability to read and understand room set-up floor plans to complete tasks effectively
Present a neat and groomed appearance and demeanor at all times during the workday
Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes nights, weekends, mid-shifts, early mornings and holidays, as needed
Must have professional attitude and appearance
Must be at least 18 years old
Lifting at least 65 lbs without assistance
Walking and standing for most of the assigned shifts
Bending and stooping at times is required
