Under direction, set up and take down meeting rooms, ballrooms, and exhibit halls.
Job Responsibility:
Set up and take down meeting rooms, ballrooms, and exhibit halls
Participates in Event set-ups and strikes, including but not limited to, chairs, tables, riser/stages, reader boards, stanchions, lecterns, piano, office furniture and equipment, etc
Cleans equipment when necessary
Makes recommendations for the improvement of all phases of the facility operation
Works safely at all times, notifying the Lead or Supervisor immediately of any accidents/incidents
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar line of work
Knowledge of safe work practices
Ability to operate a radio
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing using the English language
Ability to receive direction both verbally and in writing and follow those directions precisely
Ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times during the workday
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
Must be able to pass background
Physical ability: pushing and pulling doors open, lifting, stooping, bending and lifting at least 50 lbs
Walking for long distances for more than 50% of workday
Ability to work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events
