Job Responsibility:

  • Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events including setting up and tearing down flooring, portable chairs, operable walls, barricades, staging, tables, furnishings, and equipment
  • Perform various duties to ensure day-to-day operations of the facility including loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to disposal areas, replenishing supplies
  • Assist with pre/post event cleaning and janitorial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, stripping, carpet cleaning, window washing, and waxing
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including painting, patching, re-lamping, replacing ceiling tile, and replacing filters
  • Assist building engineers and subcontractors in construction, repair, and maintenance activities
  • Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety or damage concerns, or loss of property promptly to supervisor
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Maintain regular attendance as an essential job function
  • Work at all Wichita and Andover Legends Global venues
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One to three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Ability to be on-time
  • Ability to work quickly and safely
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs with or without accommodation

  • Must meet physical demands including operating tools and equipment, standing or walking for extended periods, and working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

  • Demonstrate typical methods and techniques for cleaning and maintaining a large facility
  • Proper use and care of hand and power tools

  • Meet the physical demands including lifting, carrying, moving, and climbing
  • Operate equipment such as light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, boom lifts, Zamboni machines, scrubbing machines, or other light power-driven tools
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively
  • Organize and prioritize work
  • Work effectively under pressure and meet stringent schedules
  • Work independently with good judgment and initiative
  • Maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, exhibitors, and patrons
  • Be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in Kansas
