Job Description:

Changeover Crew is to perform a multitude of physical tasks in the setting up and breaking down of the Events that take place at the North Charleston Coliseum, Convention and Performing Arts Centers (the Facilities), as needed.

Job Responsibility:

  • Set-up and break down equipment as directed (i.e., stages, risers, seating, basketball floor, hockey system, chairs & tables, lobby area, dressing rooms, press room, etc.)
  • Survey equipment before and after events for damage or disrepair and report, as necessary
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of equipment and perform housekeeping duties as assigned
  • Assist staff as needed in all areas of Operations, performing other tasks as assigned
  • Other duties assigned by your supervisor

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • Ability to access all areas of the Facilities
  • Ability to perform physical labor and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to walk long distances and able to be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and Holidays
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Must have solid decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills are required
  • Ability to work under pressure in high stress situations
