Our higher education client is seeking an experienced Change Management Consultant who can immediately step in, operate independently, and drive effective change governance across campus systems and processes. This consultant will assess existing change‑management practices, evaluate internal controls, and ensure change activities are authorized, tested, monitored, and aligned with institutional standards. This role requires someone with strong higher‑education experience who can provide clear justification and insight behind recommendations.
Job Responsibility:
Evaluate and understand current change‑management processes, procedures, and governance
Identify and assess key controls ensuring changes are properly authorized, documented, and tested prior to deployment
Determine whether the quality and completeness of change‑management program data is sufficient for effective oversight
Review and assess existing change‑management performance metrics, including: Their existence and relevance
Monitoring activities
Responses to deviations or exceptions
Evaluate whether risk‑management controls are: Preventive, Detective, or Corrective — and assess whether the program maintains an appropriate balance
Provide insight and justification behind findings and recommendations
Work autonomously, quickly integrate into the environment, and hit the ground running
Requirements:
Higher‑education industry experience (must‑have)
Strong background in change management, process auditing, and control evaluation
Demonstrated ability to independently assess and improve organizational processes
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly justify findings and recommendations
