We are pleased to offer Chalet Chef positions within our Ultimate Catered Chalets across Val d’Isère, Méribel, and Courchevel. Please note that all applicants must have the legal right to work in France, either through an EU passport or a valid Carte de Séjour. Role Overview: This is a very demanding but rewarding role with full responsibility for the catering service in your allocated chalet alongside your team. The emphasis in this role is the ability to draw on your own impressive experience and creativity to design and deliver a luxury chalet catering service of the highest possible standard.
Job Responsibility
Using pre arrival information provided by your guests, create a bespoke menu for them for their stay: Daily breakfast (in collaboration with the breakfast chef)
Daily afternoon tea, to include one sweet and one savoury dish
Evening meals for five nights of the guests’ weekly stay based on the guests’ preferences and requests, but you can expect it to include canapés and up to five courses and petit fours
Some guests may require an earlier children’s dinner time with an appropriate menu
Maintaining food hygiene, general health & safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas, to include a full clean of the kitchen at the end of each service, and a weekly deep clean
Management of the chalet food budget and provision ordering and shopping
Working collaboratively with the breakfast chef, providing training at the beginning of the season, and ongoing as required
Planning and preparation of two staff meals per day
Professionally presenting menus to guests, explaining dishes clearly and responding to any special requests
Demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability and actively supporting Consensio’s environmental initiatives.
